Terms of Service
Last updated: June 29, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HalalQR platform (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business.
1. The Service
HalalQR provides tools for restaurants and cafes to publish contactless QR menus, manage items and pricing, take table reservations, and run related features. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Accounts and Approval
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password secure. New accounts are reviewed and must be approved by HalalQR before a restaurant's menu becomes publicly visible. You may build and configure your menu while your account is pending. We may decline or revoke approval at our discretion, for example where an account appears fraudulent or violates these Terms.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to publish unlawful content;
- Upload content you do not have the right to use;
- Misrepresent menu items, prices, or the Halal status of food;
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- Use the Service to send spam or to harvest others' data.
4. Subscriptions and Payment
Paid plans, where applicable, are billed in advance according to the pricing presented at sign-up. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Service.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you upload (menus, images, business information). You grant HalalQR a non-exclusive license to host, display, and process that content solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content, including Halal claims.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by HalalQR and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding except as needed to use the Service.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. On termination, your public menu will be disabled; we may retain or delete data as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. HalalQR does not verify the Halal status of any food; that responsibility rests with the restaurant.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HalalQR will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify HalalQR against claims arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which HalalQR operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
